Today was supposed to be our proclaim justice day, which means that we were going to build and paint picnic tables and clean up abandoned areas in and around Detroit. Unfortunately, God's plan was for us to not provide this service because the buses were late and the lunches ran out, therefore canceling our plans. Instead, we did our own service by purchasing gift cards to Jimmie John's and handing them out to homeless people who needed food. I saw God through the understanding of the people and how well everyone accepted the "bump in the road."
Our day started out with eating bagel sandwiches from Einstein Bros Bagels, along with a bump on a curb by Kelsey. Then we wait for hours in Hartz Plaza to get on our bus to gold that they were o to our service project. But after while we were told that they were on launch A do to an accident on the highway. To pass the time we played Uno, talked, and had gotten to know more about each other. About 1 to 1:15 we were told that there was a shortage of box lunches and they did not want to send us without food. We walked to the closes Jimmie John's and had bought gift cards to hand out to the homeless who need food. I saw god today within the sea of orange tee-shirts waiting to get on buses.
