Yesterday was our last day in Detroit. The Mass Gathering started very early this morning. It was definitely worth it though because Bishop Eaton had done the sermon and it was amazing listening to her preach! Also, Natasha T. Miller presented to us a poem that was deeply touching. After the service we walked around the city as we were waiting to board our dinner boat cruise. We got to see the city as other churches left, it was odd to see how empty the city was without all of us and it shows us what we were actually doing there this week. We spent the last portion of the day getting time to unwind with the group and just enjoy each other. This week was such an amazing experience. We were able to see God in many ways through our own work and the work of others. Detroit was helped by the gathering and it was rewarding to be able to see that from start to finish. We both would like to take a minute to thank each and every person in the congregation for not only your fiscal support but your prayers and love as well. Without you all, this trip would not be possible.
